WHO I’M LOOKING FOR
1) You Suit Our Style of Online work
– you’re based in Australia
– English is your first language, you’re good at written and spoken English.
– you’re tech-comfortable. If you can navigate the likes of Facebook and YouTube easily, you’ve got enough internet chops to work with us.
– you’ve got reliable high-speed internet connection with reliable electricity.
2) You Love Checklists
If you like giving your partner or friends checklists, you’ll love working with us! Our whole business is quite structured.
Everything runs on checklists and procedures (although Im currently the only one who’s good at developing them so sometimes I will need help).
Everything is organised within Project Management software (Weekdone.com) and Google Drive. Full training will be provided.
3) You Really Enjoy Admin Support
If you’re someone who loves to coordinate, this job might be for you.
I’m looking for someone to handle my email inbox, organise meetings, project management, keep our project management software up to date, helping the customer service team, simple marketing and recruitment tasks, and also occasionally reminding me to stick to agreed direction :. We have a team of 8 or 9 (including contractors) so some of your tasks will involve communicating with them.
Again, full training will be provided.
Like I said, I’m also hoping you’ll help create checklists and procedures (and follow them too) so we can keep quality really high on everything we do. One of the documents I’ll give you early on will be our Working Procedures Development doc.
YES THIS JOB IS FLEXIBLE SO YOU CAN BE A GREAT STAY AT MOM OR DAD!
Although this job is not limited to a stay at home parent, it is more likely to suit same.
95%+ of your role can be done any time(s) of day, any day(s) of the week. I’ll give you a task and a deadline; when you work on it is completely up to you. Deadlines are usually weekly or monthly based. But once somebody sets a deadline, it is expected that it will be met (genuine emergencies excepted).
The other approx 5% is our 25 min weekly meeting which can be anywhere 7am-2pm Mon-Fri.
This means you can be with your baby or kids when they’re awake or home from school.
Baby getting a little cranky or sick and you need to throw your “Dr. Mom” hat on for 20 mins? No problem – work can wait 🙂
I also don’t mind having noisy kids in the background on the occasions when we need to speak; in fact, most days I work from cafes with plenty of noise.
THIS JOB IS LOW-STRESS SO YOU CAN “LEAVE WORK AT WORK”
My last assistant Kate – a stay at home mum – *LOVED* how structured our company is.
Because everything is in checklists and procedures, you always know what’s expected of you. It’s easy to learn and execute tasks because everything is so step-by-step, just like a good recipe!
Of course, occasionally we can get a little off course or a new procedure is required but between us we can work on that before you actually move to implementation..
You will also enjoy using the tools we use which help to systematise work and drive productivity – Google Drive, Xero, Infusionsoft and now implementing Weekdone.com.
Note: if you’re a super free-spirited person, dislike structure and/or you prefer clutter to order – just look at your desk or room now – this position probably won’t work for you. Loving to follow *and* create checklists is crucial for this role.
Timeline: starting as soon as I find someone qualified.
30-Day Trial: we’ll start with a 30-day trial to see how it goes. If we both like the experience, we’ll carry on.
Hours: initially 10 hours per week but potential to ramp up. If you’re good, then you will be adding significant value relative to your hourly rate and the only limitation will be the number of hours that you want to work. Pay beginning at $15-25/hr but also has the potential to increase.
